Camac is Portugal’s only tyre manufacturer. The business supports the local economy by solely using Portuguese labour and technology. The company was established in 1967, under the name Fabolol Tyre Factory. This was changed to CNB in 1980, then CAMAC in 1988. Camac’s production didn’t begin until 1969, first producing car tyres, then soon moving into the manufacture of commercial, industrial and agricultural tyres. The company has a long history in motorsport, with participation in the Rally Paris / Dakar that dates back to the competition’s early days.
