The production of these shock-absorbing tyres began in Dublin in 1889, and Dunlop tyres have been popular ever since. These days, the business is operated by Goodyear, with production plants all over the globe. However, Dunlop tyres are no longer produced in the UK, with the last British production factory in Birmingham closing in 2014.
